John Joye

Founder

John Joye is the founder of The Broken Strong. He is not someone who studied brokenness from a distance. He has lived it in ways that are not easy to summarize and not always easy to share.

His life has included seasons most people never see from the outside. Success in business. Influence in ministry. Relationships that opened significant doors. And seasons where all of it collapsed, financially, professionally, personally. He has known what it is to have much and to lose it. He has known what it is to feel like a failure with no clear way forward. He has stood in the darkest places a person can stand.

He is still standing. Not because of his own strength. Because of ChristThat is not a tagline. That is the only honest explanation he has.

WHY HE DOES THIS

John has spent many days doing things his way, and he will be the first to tell you that it cost him more than he cares to remember. He has walked through seasons where pride led and pain followed. Where performance replaced identity. Where he was too busy blaming others for his problems and drowning in the shame of failure and depression. Finally, he had a meeting with the person in the mirror, only to realize that he was looking at who carried the blame.

Through all of it, two questions stayed with him that he had been challenged with at a leadership conference: Who are you, and what breaks your heart?

He knows now. His identity is in Christ alone. And what breaks his heart is the reality that so many people are carrying real pain in silence, feeling alone, unseen, and unloved while believing no one truly understands.

He understands. That is not something he says lightly.

WHAT HE BRINGS

  • Over 20 years of ministry, pastoral training, and real-life experience

  • A background spanning ministry, business, and leadership at significant levels

  • Deep compassion forged through his own seasons of failure, loss, and rebuilding

  • A commitment to honesty over image, and restoration over recognition

John is not polished for the sake of appearance. He is not here to impress anyone. He has been broken before God and rebuilt through Christ, and he is walking with others through that same process because he refuses to leave people in the place where he once stood alone and no one forgets what loneliness feels like.

The Broken Strong exists because he refuses to ignore the space where people feel no one understands and no one cares. John Joye is walking with people who are broken, helping them become strong in Christ, because he cares enough to tell the truth and loves enough to stay with them while they learn to stand again. Finding lasting strength in Christ alone.

Broken before God. Strong in Christ.

What We Believe About Leadership

Leadership at The Broken Strong is not built on perfection, image, or status. We believe real leadership begins with humility, honesty, spiritual growth, and dependence on Christ. Our desire is not to build personalities, but to point people toward lasting truth, healing, and strength through Him.
